Yesterday I received one of the many emails that you probably also have received, where the person asks you to put a link, a link to your blog or website. I even put in a code message and link suggested.
BlogObviamente, I ignored that email. I do it in 99% of these cases, but occasionally not just read the email but I end up linking to the website of the person.
Why are some emails generated links and others not?
Here are 5 tips for using this technique to send an email (or a message via Facebook – Twitter) to another blogger:
1. Write something that deserves to be bound – although it seems logical, many people do not. The best way to get the attention of a blogger is to write something useful, entertaining, innovative, controversial, intriguing, and so on.
2. Suggests a link to an article you – not your website / blog – review suggests that an individual page or article you’ve written. A blogger is more likely to bind to a specific topic that is relevant to the topic of your blog, your main site.
3. Develop a Relationship – cold contact a blogger with whom you’ve never interacted before, asking him to put a link to your blog, definitely not the best way to create a relationship. Just like in life outside the Internet, do you approach a stranger to ask to help you with your business? Please take time to meet the person, his blog, and let the ‘favors’ arise naturally. Interact with Facebook and Twitter. No one will link you to consider if you’re not even worried about knowing who you are and what makes the other person.
4. You must stay focused – it is sometimes surprising to receive a request from someone to be linked, when your blog has absolutely nothing to do with yours.
5. Reciprocity – I do not mean reciprocal links. “Enlázame and I link you” no longer has much value for search engine optimization (SEO). I’m talking about being generous and not just wait to be generous with you. And not just to link to another website, it can be reciprocal in various ways such as writing a blog post the other person as a guest, sponsor a project of his, promote it to your network of contacts, etc.
Once you have some time blogging, and have a good reputation in your industry, other blogs will link naturally to your articles. But when you first start you can use this form to send promotional emails or messages via Facebook – Twitter to other bloggers.
Obviously you must be selective about the items you promote. We tend to think that every article we write deserves to be bound by hundreds of other blogs but the reality is that some are more likely to be linked to others. Limited to the maximum this technique and just do it with your items “star.”
